Junior Web Designer

• Knowledge of Web Design/UX principles.
• Knowledge of Figma and or other prototyping/design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• HTML5 - Good understanding of HTML and the DOM.
• CSS3 - especially Flexbox and Grid, good understanding of specificity and selctors (bootstrap is a plus but not a replacement).
• JS (ES6) - Good understanding of javascript (scope, DOM manipulation, types, etc) (jQuery is a plus but not a replacement, any libraries are a plus eg. D3)
• Wordpress - Good base understanding of WP, understanding of php and custom post types, understanding of the WP REST api, having worked on custom theme development is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and coming up with creative solutions.

Job Description:

Converting Web designs into functional, cross browser/platform compatible Responsive Web pages.
- Knowledge of CSS, CSS3 & HTML, HTML5.
- Editing images ensuring a sensible balance between file size and image quality.
- Building and maintaining Web pages according to functional specifications, and effectively integrate new content for Website updates.

Tracking time spent on all projects, and accurately report time for billing purposes.
- Handling multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Creating conceptual designs for clients. Designing web layouts , web logo's & templates

Taking a brief from concept to delivery stage including client presentations.
- Design and updating websites using content managers (in-house & open-source)
- Researching keywords and writing SEO compliant descriptions for web pages.
- Setting up websites in webmaster tools, adding website tracking (Analytics) to web pages.

Knowledge of the following software/programs is required:

1. Adobe Photoshop
2. Adobe Illustrator
3. Figma
4. WordPress and Joomla CMS
